Restoring Business Relationships through Understanding
|
Conflict within a small business can be debilitating, both financially and
personally. And so, when differences among them arise, conflict often results.
This creates two large problems for those involved. First, smooth functioning
between these key individuals is often critical to success. Second, business is
never separate from personal life. People are rarely happy when key
relationships are in turmoil.
Those who find themselves caught in these types of conflicts will often turn a
blind eye for a time. Inevitably though, unresolved issues become magnified
into personal hostilities. The conflict, though partially buried, often turns
bitter. The question then is whether to dissolve, or attempt to repair, the
professional and personal relationships. The decision of course has many
complex implications. Through Mediation, we address the host of issues
facing the parties. Whether resolution or dissolution is ultimately pursued,
effective settlement requires of each person some understanding of the
experience of the other side. Though this is no doubt challenging, solutions
are most creative, most likely to endure, and most likely to heal, when they
flow naturally from mutual recognition.
